Saccharum ‘Officinarum’ (Real Candy Cane), is a large tufted perennial grass that is probably native to Southeast Asia. It can grow to 15-20′ tall in its native environment, but to 5-8′ tall more commonly when grown indoors. Stems contain a sweet juice that may be extracted for production of sugar or molasses.

Come visit us Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 6pm, no appointment needed!
IMPORTANT: Pre-Order pick ups will be arranged by appointment. Please do not just show up.
Not all plants will be ready for opening day.
Once your ordered plants are all ready to go, you will be contacted to arrange a pick up day and time.
And yes, you can absolutely browse when you come to pick up your order!

Closed For Spring Organization!
The new Greenhouse is just about ready, and we have a lot of organizing, and rearranging to do, as well as getting the last of the plants potted up, and receiving our orders. It’s going to be a busy month! In order to buckle down and get all this done, we will be closed, including no appointments, until early May. Look for our reopening announcement soon!
